financial aid

Working with you to meet your needs.

The Laurel School Commitment

The Laurel School is committed to economic diversity, we began in 2008 with the establishment of our financial aid program. Awards are based solely on need and do not need to be repaid. Financial Aid is available for students in Preschool - Elementary. In order to fairly and objectively assess each family’s need, the school uses the independent service of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) by National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

Evaluating Need: Many aspects of a family’s financial situation are considered, including:
  • the incomes of both parents (taxable and non-taxable)
  • the assets held by the family as a unit
  • the number of dependents
  • the age of both parents
  • the number of children attending tuition-charging schools
Families apply for aid directly to SSS by filling out the Parents Financial Statement (PFS). In addition to completing the PFS you will be asked to submit a copy of your Federal 1040 including all attachments (W2s and 1099s), State Tax Return, Bank and Mortgage Statements as well as a Paycheck/Pay Stub copy directly to SSS.

Complete a Parent’s Financial Aid Statement (PFS)
